Mobile Bay Magazine joins Captain Stewart Walter and the Maranatha II crew for an overnight artificial reef deployment in the Gulf.

Mobile Bay Magazine went aboard the Maranatha II for a working trip from Orange Beach to reef sites off Navarre. The account follows Captain Stewart Walter and his crew as they load, transport and place heavy concrete reef modules at coordinates selected by the project team.

The story shows the planning behind a deployment, including vessel preparation, weather, crane work and GPS positioning. It also introduces the crew members whose work turns ReefMaker's manufactured structures into permanent Gulf habitat.
