David Sellepack an instructor at the Riviera Beach Maritime Academy is teaching his students the art of artificial reef building. Their goal is to build 54 EcoSystems discs and deploy them inshore as artificial reefs. I visited the Academy and was impressed by the instructors and the school. They were building boats, designing and building ROV's, repairing marine engines and learning about marine science. This should be a model for all coastal high school systems to follow. Congratulations to Palm Beach County and David Sellepeck for an excellent job in preparing students for service to mankind in the real world.
